Ayden + Friends

This week we have been having several play dates which were only penciled the night before. Glad we all made it work!

We had a great New Years Day with the Syeds. These days I fell in love with impromptu barbecues and picnics all over again. We checked out the Valley Reserve this time at Mount Waverley as they called it an award winning Playspace. I thought with the hot weather, the beach may be a lil too crowded! And the boys would love some adventure play area!

It was the tops of 26 🌤 We had a picnic mat full of noodles, pastries, fruits and snacks! It was such a relaxing day under the sun catching up on life and family getaway plans. It was just a great day to chill.

Ayden enjoyed himself thoroughly, that he even missed his nap and he just fell asleep as soon as we drove off from the park!

It was my last day of the holidays, hence, we decided to drive to Werribee to stock up on my crafts only to realise after an hour drive, that they decided to close early! Boo! We’ve been planning to meet Ana & Ali (yup! A couple with exactly the same nicknames as us!) for a while now, but never got around to it! So we finally got to meet up at the Wonderland Playcentre for a play date and we had a late lunch at Ummah Thai with the family of 5!

I realised that Ayden loves the outdoor playground more than the indoor ones. Not sure why. He seems to be more intimidated and less motivated to play whereas he’s more eager at the outdoor playground, running around, climbing and trying out all the different slides.

The next day the hubs and Ayden decided to spontaneously join Ali’s fambam and Mai (and her girls) on a lil Adventure to the Zoo. Definitely in envy, since I was stuck at work the whole day! They had so much fun, I can tell from the photos and his laughters! Glad that he had a Baba bonding session! Looking at all the photos, glad the Ayden could join in the trip and immerse himself with all these animals he’s been watching on TV and reading in his books! Am actually going to sign up for the Zoo membership soon! Its really worth the price for just $9 a month!

Definitely more #AydenAdventures coming into 2018! Probably more impromptu picnics and road trips! Who knows?

Marriage Life ^5

Have been officially married for 5 months. There’s so much you learnt as a wife, even 5 years in a Relationship with the same man won’t prepare you for marriage life. It is all a bitter sweet learning curve isn’t it? I have to shake perceptions off people’s mind that just because we have been in a long term relationship and eventually married, doesn’t mean that we had it good the whole time. There’s been several peaks and abundance of lows to get to where we are today.
I don’t consider our relationship as lucky but more like it has been written in our paths.
And even till now, nothing has changed.. it’s still all the same. You’ll get the highest peaks and struck with the deepest lows. Relationships can never be perfect. Ever. If it is, wouldn’t the world be a better place? There’s no broken homes, broken friendships and severe family ties. So quit thinking we had it good, because we definitely don’t. Each day i pray to be a better wife, to have the patience and strength to get through the tests he has challenged us with. Each day, i prayed he gave us the light in this dark road that we’re taking.
I wouldn’t doubt it, i still have butterflies in my stomach whenever i see him. If i could race it back home (instead of taking the bus!) i would have, every single day just to see his smile. Despite us both annoying each other to the fullest everyday. Despite us arguing about petty stuff. At times how much we hate each other and wish we have spells to make each other *poof*! God chose us to be with each other for a reason, we both might not figured it out yet. But insya Allah one day we will.
