I’m that girl who’s always insecure. be it looks, relationships and life itself. I’m always going for the worst. I’m never that girl with the most beautiful face or flawless skin. i was never that girl whom people ask for beauty tips ever! until recently. I’ve struggled a lot when i was in my teens up till now. Constantly, surrounded by friends and peers where beauty is such an enormous factor in their daily lives. Nevertheless I’m often put down by it. I lived in envy most of the time. Envy of others. That’s not or never healthy. However, it all changed for me when beauty wasn’t everything in the end. Things they say about inner beauty can be a cliche but it works wonders and on top of that i’ve managed my skin really well now. I guess through a lot of trial and errors, I’ve managed to know what’s best for my skin!

PS: For you(s), don’t despair. It takes time (it sure did for me) and I’m sure you’ll find what works for you… =))

Girl

I’m the girl who tries to be nice to everyone then gets taken advantage of.  I’m the girl who tries to look pretty and it’s never good enough.  I’m the girl who acts like she’s happy then goes home and wishes to be gone.  I’m the girl who takes harsh words act like they’re nothing then goes home and cries. I’m the girl who tries to get her point across and could never find the right words.  I’m the girl who has more depth to her then everyone thinks.  I’m the girl who hides from the harsh eyes. I’m the girl who wouldn’t care if you gave me a shitty gift as long as you thought of me. I’m the girl that prays that someone will finally understand.  I’m the girl that gets happy over the little things. I’m the girl that people misinterpret.

People treat you how you allow them to treat you.

Stop complaining about your boyfriend, best friend, coworker, etc. who mistreats you. If someone is in your life and you don’t feel like you’re getting the respect you deserve, demand it. Especially if it’s a friend or significant other. A person will only do what they feel they can get away with. You sitting back and accepting the bullshit someone is feeding you is a nonverbal way of saying “I condone this behavior”. Demand respect, or accept your role.
