Las Vegas

It was fun and all but a lil tad boring for me! Exhausted from walking on the strip! Too many hotels, different themes!

The highlight for me in Vegas was the Bellagio Fountains, Hoover Dam, witnessing Britney Spears, getting awed at Caesars Palace and Walmart! haha And of course, you wouldn’t want to have high expectations of Britney. Just watch her, reminisce your high school days, sing along and enjoy the show! Well i did!

Hoover Dam was awesome! Another place to add on the list if you have not. Mr and i did not want to waste 12 hours of our day and money to go for the Grand Canyon tour! Also on the way, there you can refuel at A&W! You can rarely find it these days~

So instead we rented a car (Mustang!) through rentalcars.com which are great for Australians/Tourists as they include free cancelations, amendments, theft protection and collision damage waiver in the rental fee. Hence you won’t have to worry about additional insurance add ons. Alamo and National are the best Car rental companies to hire from, reliable and affordable. Stay away from Fox and Dollar Car rentals. That’s why i love TripAdvisor! In addition, we rent an SUV from the same website but travelling from Vegas to LA which is great!

Before you leave for US, please review your travel insurance and made sure they have rental car insurance in it too. Just for a peace of mind.

We did booked our MGM signature suite through AirBNB! Very affordable and such a great room! Near to amenities and everything is just walking distance! It was good but after awhile, when it gets too tiring to walk on the strip there’s a monorail station at MGM and it can take you to Caesars Palace for your last minute shopping! (For us of course!)

We shopped up a storm at Caesars Palace! Sephora, Nike and Bath and Bodyworks mainly! Of course there’s the Outlets that you need to hit! We took a $8 cab ride to the outlet as we hadn’t rented a car yet. There’s two outlets the north and south. I wouldn’t recommend to go both! Just go through the list of shops at each outlet and go to the one with the most shops you wish to attack! lol The best outlet shopping is Woodsbury in NYC! I regretted not getting much stuff there and end up having to get more stuff in Vegas outlet which has lesser variety and discounts 😦

PS: if you do have a car, please have a meal at Sakinah Thai Restaurant at 4251 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89102, United States! Great food!
